Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a well-established and growing construction company based in Ashford, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a successful business delivering a diverse range of construction projects.

Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, you will gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions.
• Support the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Measure and value works completed on site.
• Prepare interim valuations and applications for payment.
• Assist with cost reporting and forecasting.
• Help manage subcontractor accounts, variations, and final accounts.
• Maintain accurate project records and commercial documentation.
• Liaise with site teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

About You

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or working towards one).
• Previous experience within a construction or quantity surveying role is desirable.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
