Electrician - Social Housing Scheme
Location: Barnsley
Pay Rate: 25.19 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a social housing scheme in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for long-term work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical works across occupied and void properties, including 1st and 2nd fix installations, repairs, maintenance, and inspection and testing. You will be expected to work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while providing a professional service to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete 1st and 2nd fix electrical installation works within social housing properties
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, and fault finding
- Undertake inspection, testing, and certification in line with current regulations
- Ensure all works are completed safely and comply with health & safety standards
- Provide a high-quality service while working within occupied properties
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- ECS Gold Card
- Asbestos Awareness certification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience working within social housing is desirable
- Strong knowledge of 1st and 2nd fix electrical works
