Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career with a leading main contractor?

Our client, a well-established and highly respected construction business with an strong reputation across Scotland, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business delivering a diverse portfolio of high-quality construction projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential and public sectors.

Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you'll gain exposure to projects from pre-construction through to final account while developing your commercial and contractual expertise within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Preparing and submitting interim valuations and applications for payment.
- Assisting with subcontract procurement, tender analysis and appointment.
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs, forecasts and cash flow.
- Supporting the preparation of cost reports and commercial updates.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
- Assisting with contract administration under standard forms of contract.
- Building strong working relationships with site teams, clients and subcontractors.

Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
- Experience working for a main contractor.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Full UK driving licence.
