Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a well-established civil engineering contractor self-delivering works on one of the UK s largest infrastructure schemes. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of works on a major infrastructure package in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor working on a nationally significant project involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure works.
The Role The Site Agent will be responsible for the successful delivery of a section of works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with the Project Manager, the successful candidate will lead site teams, manage subcontractors, and oversee all engineering and operational activities.
Key responsibilities will include: - Managing the day-to-day delivery of a designated section of works
- Leading site teams, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve programme milestones
- Planning and coordinating construction activities to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Managing quality assurance processes, inspections, and project documentation
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to maintain programme
- Overseeing commercial awareness on site, including resource planning and productivity
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements - Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- CSCS card (White CSCS Academically Qualified Person preferred)
- SMSTS qualification
- Proven experience working as a Site Agent or Sub Agent on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in heavy civils, highways, rail, earthworks, drainage, or large infrastructure schemes
- Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of QA processes, ITPs, RAMS, temporary works, and construction methodologies
- Excellent planning, organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness and experience delivering works safely, on programme, and within budget
