Quality Manager Leading Brickwork Contractor Site-Based Across the South West & South Wales Drive Quality, Reduce Defects and Promote a Right First Time Culture on Major Construction Projects.
Quality Manager
A well-established and growing brickwork contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality assurance across multiple live construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in brickwork, masonry or fa ade construction who is passionate about workmanship, compliance and delivering projects to the highest standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Managing digital quality records and inspection workflows.
Reviewing site inspection records and photographic evidence.
Ensuring inspections are completed at key construction stages.
Developing and maintaining quality management procedures.
Producing project-specific Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documents before work starts.
Identifying quality risks and resolving technical issues.
Carrying out regular site quality inspections.
Monitoring workmanship, tolerances and compliance with specifications.
Auditing documentation including material approvals, sample panels and inspection records.
Raising and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Investigating defects and agreeing corrective actions.
Monitoring trends to reduce recurring quality issues.
Attending client meetings, quality inspections and progress meetings.
Delivering quality briefings and promoting a "Right First Time" culture.
Supporting snagging, practical completion and project handovers.
Preparing quality reports and monitoring quality KPIs.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Assurance role within construction.
Strong knowledge of brickwork, masonry or fa ade construction.
Good understanding of British Standards, construction drawings and project specifications.
Experience developing and managing quality systems and documentation.
Excellent report writing and communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships while maintaining high quality standards.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South West and South Wales.
