About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead and manage electrical installations on a major commercial construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering electrical packages safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site operations, managing labour and subcontractors, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety requirements.

Electrical Site Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all electrical activities on a commercial construction project from installation through to commissioning and handover.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements.
  • Monitor labour resources, productivity, and site progress.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Manage and enforce health and safety standards across all electrical works.
  • Attend client, contractor, and progress meetings.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, design teams, and other trades.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate site documentation.
  • Support commissioning, testing, snagging, and project handover activities.

Electrical Site Manager Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager on commercial construction projects.
  • Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
  • ECS/JIB Gold Card or relevant electrical accreditation.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Strong understanding of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Demonstrable experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, and project delivery.
