About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BMS Engineer to join a growing building services team in London. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimisation of Building Management Systems across a range of commercial and residential properties.
This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, detail-oriented, and passionate about smart building technologies, energy efficiency, and modern control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission BMS systems (e.g., Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Distech)
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on BMS controls
- Diagnose and resolve system faults across HVAC, lighting, and energy management systems
- Optimise system performance to improve energy efficiency and building comfort
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control strategies
- Work closely with HVAC engineers, electricians, and facilities management teams
- Produce clear technical reports and commissioning documentation
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and industry regulations
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a BMS Engineer or Controls Engineer
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation
- Experience with at least one major BMS platform (Trend, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware control issues
- Understanding of electrical control panels and wiring diagrams
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Desirable
- Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or other communication protocols
- Experience in energy optimisation or smart building projects
- CSCS/ECS card or relevant electrical qualifications
- Trend or Siemens certification
