Duties Measure and cut carpets accurately to fit designated areas using hand tools and power tools Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and applying necessary adhesives or underlays Install carpets securely using appropriate techniques, including stretching and fixing Repair or replace damaged sections of carpet as required Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise fitting Assist with related construction tasks such as carpentry or painting when necessary Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations Use construction painting skills for finishing touches where applicable Requirements Proven experience in carpet fitting or related construction roles Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings Knowledge of construction painting is advantageous but not essential Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces Relevant construction experience including use of construction or hand tools is preferred Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Work Location: In person
