Flat Roofing & Façade Site Manager Battersea Location: Battersea, London Project: New Build School Package: Flat Roofing & Façade Duration: Ongoing Employment: Freelance or Permanent We are currently recruiting for an experienced Flat Roofing & Façade Site Manager to work on a new school project in Battersea . This is an ongoing project and would suit a strong No.1 Site Manager who is confident taking full ownership of the site, reporting directly into the Contracts Manager. There is also an opportunity for the right individual to move into a permanent position . Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the roofing and façade works. Manage and monitor roof and soffit installations, ensuring works are completed to the required quality and specification. Ensure photographs are taken at each stage of the works for Quality Assurance (QA) records . Ensure all operatives work safely and in accordance with RAMS. Monitor PPE compliance and ensure work areas are properly segregated and excluded. Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades and site operatives. Deliver Daily Activity Briefings and coordinate activities with other trades on site. Liaise directly with the client regarding progress, programme and any site issues. Manage deliveries of materials to site and coordinate unloading/storage requirements. Monitor progress against programme and report updates to the Contracts Manager. Maintain accurate site records, diaries, photographs and QA documentation. Carry out regular inspections of workmanship and ensure any issues are rectified. Attend site meetings and provide progress updates. Coordinate labour, plant, materials and site logistics. Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and within programme. Identify and resolve any issues that could impact the programme, quality or safety. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site organisation. Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety legislation and company procedures. Requirements Previous experience as a No.1 Site Manager . Strong experience within flat roofing , ideally with façade/soffit experience. SMSTS Essential Black CSCS Card Essential Strong understanding of RAMS, QA and site health & safety. Confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades. Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and senior management. Good organisational and reporting skills. Ability to take ownership of a project and work independently.
