About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team delivering projects across the water industry in the West Midlands. This role is ideal for someone currently operating at Engineer or Supervisor level who is looking to take the next step in a dynamic, site-focused environment.

You will work closely with a Project Manager and play a key role in the successful delivery of projects by overseeing mechanical and electrical (M&E) subcontractors across multiple sites. The position requires a hands-on approach, strong coordination skills, and a solid understanding of water industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate M&E subcontractors on-site to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
  • Support the Project Manager in planning, execution, and delivery of projects
  • Conduct site inspections, progress reviews, and quality checks
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation
  • Identify and resolve on-site technical issues efficiently
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Contribute to project reporting and documentation

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the water industry (essential)
  • Currently working at Electrical Engineer or Supervisor level
  • Strong knowledge of M&E installations and site operations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Valid, in-date CSCS card
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification
  • BS7671 (18th Edition) qualification
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the West Midlands
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Desirable

  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Experience working on water or wastewater treatment sites
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
