About the Company

We are a leading groundworks contractor operating across the Midlands, delivering high-quality groundworks and civil engineering packages on major residential and commercial developments. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

The Role

This is a site-based position where you will take commercial responsibility for multiple projects, typically managing 5 6 live sites at any one time. Each project has an approximate value of £12 million. You will work closely alongside a Contracts Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of multiple groundwork projects simultaneously
• Preparing and submitting valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Cost control, forecasting, and reporting across all assigned sites
• Subcontractor procurement, management, and payments
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaising with site teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks or civil engineering
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Experience working alongside Contracts Managers and site teams
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
