We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Electrician to join our team. You will join us on on a 12-month contract, in return for a salary of £30,459 per annum working 40 hours per week. During this time we will support and train you to complete your C&G 2391-52 qualification, to enable you to progress in your career.
As a Junior Electrician you will be responsible for providing a professional and customer orientated service. You will diagnose, undertake and efficiently complete repairs in both occupied and empty homes. You will also carry out a range of electrical repairs, installation and testing as responsive repairs, planned investment refurbishment works such as replacement kitchens & bathrooms and a planned programme of electrical installation condition reporting.
Specific tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:
- To execute works in accordance with trade qualifications and assist other trade operatives to fulfil their work orders.
- Be able to organise workload and complete works in accordance with trade standards and current Building Regulations.
- Ensure works completed are to the highest standard and are correctly completed first time as reasonably practicable.
- Ensure all KPI's are met including productivity levels, quality of work, 'right first time', recalls and appointments kept. This list is not exhaustive.
Skills and Experience required if you want to become our Junior Electrician:
- Hold a level 3 Electrical qualification, with 18th edition updates
- Basic power tool allocation will be provided, you will provide your own hand tools
- Posses a provisional or full UK driving licence
Black Country Homeforce is our in-house building maintenance team that operates throughout Birmingham and the Black Country.
