A well-established Berkshire main contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to take full responsibility for a newly secured £4m social housing apartment scheme near Guildford. This is a new-build RC frame development delivering over 20 affordable homes on a tight urban site.
The business has a strong secured workload running well into 2026, with a solid reputation across residential, social housing and community projects. They are looking to interview immediately, with a view to starting the successful candidate in April or May.
The Project

4-storey reinforced concrete frame20+ new affordable apartmentsExternal works, landscaping, drainage and utilitiesYou will run the job from early stages through to handover, leading all programme, quality and subcontractor management on site.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day site operations on this £4m Guildford schemeManage subcontractors, engineers and tradesMaintain programme and drive progress on a tight siteReview drawings, resolve issues and support technical coordinationEnsure strong H&S, QA and compliance standardsWork closely with internal design, commercial and planning teamsHold progress meetings and liaise directly with client representativesOversee snagging and handover documentation
Ideal CandidateExperienced Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager ready to step upBackground delivering residential or social housing schemes - RC frame experience preferredConfident leading projects in the £3m-£8m rangeStrong communicator with solid subcontractor managementAble to solve problems quickly and maintain programme momentumSMSTS, CSCS (Manager Level), First Aid preferred
