Project / Senior Quantity Surveyor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor to join a respected organisation that delivers high-value project commercial management, cost engineering, and NEC contract expertise across major infrastructure and civil engineering schemes.
This role sits within a well-established, high-performing commercial team supporting clients across complex programmes within the civil engineering, infrastructure, and utilities sectors. You will play a key part in delivering robust commercial guidance, ensuring effective contract administration, and supporting successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead or support the commercial delivery of major civil engineering projects under NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contractProvide comprehensive project cost management, including cost planning, forecasting, and budget controlAdminister NEC contracts including compensation events, early warnings, contract communications, and programme assessmentsPrepare and review tender documentation, BoQs, estimates, and commercial reportsManage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and performance monitoringSupport dispute avoidance and resolution activities through clear documentation and commercial insightBuild strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project QS, Senior QS, or similar commercial role within civil engineering or infrastructureStrong, hands-on knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contract - ideally with experience leading contract administrationBackground in major civil engineering works such as highways, structures, utilities, groundworks, energy or infrastructureExcellent analytical, commercial and communication skillsAbility to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environmentProfessional qualification (RICS or progressing) is advantageous but not essential
