The Project Quantity Surveyor Role
The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will take a leading role across a varied portfolio, delivering both pre- and post-contract services. The Project Quantity Surveyor will manage schemes from early feasibility through to completion, ensuring effective cost control and commercial delivery.
The Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost planning, procurement and contract administration, working closely with clients and project teams. The Project Quantity Surveyor will oversee valuations, variations and reporting, maintaining financial oversight throughout.
Working alongside contractors, consultants and stakeholders, the Project Quantity Surveyor will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This Project Quantity Surveyor role offers genuine responsibility, client exposure, and a clear pathway towards Senior level.

Project Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimates
Manage tender processes, including documentation and analysis
Undertake cost reporting, valuations and agreement of final accounts
Administer contracts, primarily JCT forms
Monitor project expenditure and manage variations
Provide commercial advice to clients
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
Project Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements
3-6 years' experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within consultancy or main contractor
Experience delivering residential, education or commercial projects
Strong understanding of pre- and post-contract duties
Experience administering JCT contracts
RICS accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
MRICS or working towards chartership
Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
