A leading contractor with a strong presence in the fit-out and refurbishment sector is looking to appoint an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of projects and play a key role in delivering high-quality schemes across Cheshire and the surrounding region.

The Role
You will be responsible for the commercial management of fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically ranging in value from 500k to 10m. The role offers a mix of site-based work and regional project involvement, providing both variety and autonomy.

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take a lead role in managing project finances, ensuring costs are controlled while maintaining quality and programme objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full commercial responsibility from project inception through to final account
• Procurement and management of subcontractor and supplier packages
• Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and cost reports
• Budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Contract administration and risk management
• Building strong relationships with clients, project teams, and subcontractors

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit-out and refurbishment sector
• Ability to manage projects independently within the 500k - 10m range
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
