This is a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to join a well-established residential groundworks contractor and build a long-term career in civils estimating from the ground up.

This company is a residential groundworks contractor with years in the industry, delivering civils packages for housing developments predominantly for tier 1 clients. This role has come about through growth, the previous person in this position is being promoted, which speaks volumes about how the company develops its team.

In this role, you will work closely alongside an experienced estimator, learning the full tendering process for residential groundworks schemes. You will assist with tender takeoffs and pricing, support the team in hitting deadlines, and gradually develop your knowledge of civils costs, methods, and materials. With structured in-house training and hands-on support throughout.

The ideal candidate will have a construction background, ideally with some knowledge of groundworks or civils, and above all a genuine desire to learn and build a career in estimating.

The Role:

• Assisting with tender takeoffs and pricing for residential groundworks schemes
• Shadowing an experienced estimator and learning the full tendering process
• Supporting the team in managing workload and meeting tender deadlines
• Developing knowledge of civils/groundworks costs, methods, and materials

The Person:

• Background in construction - groundworks or civils knowledge ideal
• Graduate QS also considered
• Hard working and eager to learn
