Job Description

Ardmore is seeking an experienced Lift Installation Manager to join our team on the prestigious Cambridge House, Mayfair project on a freelance / contract basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the lift contractor to ensure the installation is delivered safely, efficiently, and without disruption.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the lift contractor throughout the installation phase
  • Review design information, drawings, and installation plans to ensure all requirements are in place
  • Coordinate site logistics to enable the lift contractor to carry out works without delays or obstruction
  • Monitor progress against programme and identify any potential risks or issues early
  • Escalate delays, design concerns, or site-related issues to the project team as required
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, communications, instructions, and any ongoing issues
  • Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination of works
  • Ensure works are carried out in line with health and safety, quality, and programme requirements
  • Support the delivery team by providing regular updates on lift installation progress and key milestones

Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, with associated electrical-biased qualifications preferred.

Expected accreditations / qualifications:

  • SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Relevant electrical qualification such as NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC / HND
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Temporary Works awareness
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Manual Handling

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in lift installation management on complex construction projects, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to drive subcontractor performance in line with programme and quality expectations.
