What you'll be doing;

  • Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all MRF plant equipment, including mobile plant
  • Providing line management for all facility personnel, including work assignment, supervision and on-the-job training
  • Ensuring materials are processed to achieve maximum throughput at all times, utilising resources effectively to drive continuous improvement across the facility
  • Maintaining full compliance with the company's Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety management systems at all times
  • Enforcing and monitoring safety rules and practices, ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors are aware of potential hazards and take appropriate precautions
  • Controlling tipping hall activities for incoming loads in conjunction with weighbridge operations, and overseeing all loading activities in line with company procedures
  • Conducting regular inspections of work areas and equipment, identifying and reporting deficiencies, hazards and malfunctions to Management and Maintenance teams
  • Producing accurate and timely production data reports in line with agreed deadlines
  • Supporting management during customer and regulatory audits
  • Liaising with facilities managers to maintain efficient and effective day-to-day operations
  • Responding to plant emergencies as required and reporting incidents in accordance with company procedures



What we're looking for;

  • Previous experience within a similar supervisory role is required to be successful in this position
  • Sound knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques gained in a fast paced production environment is essential
  • Must have experience and understanding of managing 40 plus people on a daily basis
  • Yellow plant licence - Loading shovel and Fork Lift Truck is essential
  • Experience in the waste management and treatment industry is desirable
  • Flexible and adaptable person, with a common sense and focussed working attitude
  • Excellent verbal, written and IT communication skills
  • 4 Day IOSH certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • COTC level 4TMNH or working towards
