Skilled Labourer

Straight-line are hiring an experienced Skilled Labourer to start on site in Melksham.

The role involves a variety of site tasks, primarily focused on groundwork and fencing preparation. This is an ideal position for a practical all-rounder with experience in manual labour and basic construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Digging holes for fence posts to required depths and specifications
• Assisting with the installation and setting of fence posts
• Cutting posts to size once set in place
• Carrying out basic tarmac repairs and patching
• General site labouring duties as required
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following instructions and health & safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar labouring or construction role
• Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks
• Basic knowledge of groundwork, fencing, or tarmac work preferred
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must have:

• CSCS card
• Experience in fencing/ groundworks
