About the Opportunity


Search Consultancy is pleased to represent a leading Construction and Property specialist in their search for a skilled Plasterer to join their Newcastle-based team. This is a key role within a high-standard building firm. Our client is specifically looking for a professional with significant experience in applying Renderlite lightweight plaster for internal building and renovation projects.

Role Responsibilities


Specialist Application: Expertly apply Renderlite and other lightweight backing plasters to a variety of internal substrates across residential and commercial properties.
Technical Finishing: Ensure all plastered surfaces are ruled off to a perfectly flat finish, ready for final skimming and professional decoration.
Substrate Preparation: Assess and prepare diverse backgrounds (brick, block, and concrete) to ensure correct suction and bonding for Renderlite products.
Construction Support: Work as part of a wider building team, ensuring plastering work aligns with structural timelines and project schedules.
Site Logistics: Use your own professional van to transport necessary tools, equipment, and materials to various site locations across the North East.
Health & Safety: Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all site-specific safety protocols and construction regulations.

Candidate Requirements


Certification: Must hold a valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold level required) to ensure high-standard skilled workmanship and site safety compliance.
Experience: Proven track record as a Plasterer, specifically within the general construction or property maintenance sectors.
Technical Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience and proficiency with Renderlite products.
Transportation: Must hold a full UK Driving License and own a professional van suitable for trade use.
Equipment: Must possess a full range of professional plastering tools (mixers, darbies, levels, etc.).
Reliability: A self-motivated approach with the ability to manage your own workload across multiple construction sites.
