About the Role
We are seeking experienced Slinger / Signallers to work on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects across the North West UK. This is a long-term opportunity on a major infrastructure scheme, offering consistent work for up to five years in a safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out safe slinging and signalling duties during lifting operations on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects
Communicate clearly with crane operators using approved hand signals and radio systems
Follow all lifting plans, method statements, and site safety procedures
Inspect lifting gear and equipment prior to use, reporting any defects
Support installation and movement of heavy plant, materials, and tunnel segments
Work effectively in confined spaces and underground conditions
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance

Essential Requirements
Valid Slinger/Signaller certification (CPCS / NPORS or equivalent)
Proven experience working on shaft sinking and tunnelling projects
Confined Spaces certification (Medium/High Risk) - essential
Valid medical certificate (safety-critical) - essential
Strong understanding of lifting operations and safe systems of work
Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player

Desirable
CSCS card
First Aid certification
Experience on large-scale civil engineering or underground infrastructure projects
