P6 Planner - AMP8 Projects (West Midlands / Coventry)

About the Role
Our client, a leading Tier 1 construction contractor, is seeking an experienced P6 Planner to support ongoing AMP8 infrastructure projects across the West Midlands. This is a site-based role requiring regular presence (4-5 days per week) to support project delivery teams.

You will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and monitoring project programmes, working closely with delivery teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
• Support tendering and pre-construction planning activities
• Provide regular programme updates and reporting
• Ensure compliance with NEC4 contract requirements
• Contribute to planning best practices across the project lifecycle

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in project planning within civil engineering or infrastructure
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
• Previous experience in a site-based planning role (preferred)
• Experience supporting tenders and pre-construction activities
• Familiarity with NEC4 contract types
• Background in civils project planning
• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
• Full UK driving licence (desirable)
• Willingness to work on-site 4-5 days per week across West Midlands projects
