Electrical Site Foreman

Sphere Solutions are looking for an Electrical Site Foreman to start ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Foreman with a strong solar background to oversee operations on a solar farm project. This is a 6-week contract, requiring a candidate who is highly competent in managing DC solar installations as well as associated AC works, with proven experience leading teams on renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, with a primary focus on DC solar installations
• Lead and manage electrical teams, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are consistently met
• Oversee installation of solar panels, stringing, DC cabling, combiner boxes, and inverters
• Manage associated AC works including transformers, substations, and grid connections
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with project specifications, drawings, and industry regulations
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and enforce strict health & safety procedures
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor progress, report on milestones, and proactively resolve any on-site issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Site Foreman within the solar or renewable energy sector
• Strong, hands-on background in solar (DC) installations is essential
• Good understanding of AC systems related to solar farm infrastructure
• Experience working on utility-scale solar farms preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred
• ECS card
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
