Location: Edmonton, London

Red Sky Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and construction contractor for a Materials Manager to join a major waste-to-energy project based in Edmonton.

Our client operates across the power generation, renewable, and industrial sectors, delivering complex, large-scale projects both in the UK and internationally.

The Role

This is a key site-based position responsible for managing all mechanical materials across the project. You will ensure materials are procured, tracked, and delivered in line with programme requirements, playing a vital role in keeping the project running efficiently.

You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure materials are available on time and meet all technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage materials from procurement through to delivery and installation
• Coordinate with suppliers to track orders and manage lead times
• Maintain accurate material tracking systems and records
• Liaise with site and engineering teams to align materials with programme
• Resolve any issues relating to delays, shortages, or incorrect deliveries
• Ensure all materials meet project and technical specifications

Requirements

• Strong mechanical engineering background
• Proven experience with pipework and heavy mechanical systems
• Experience working on large-scale construction, energy, or industrial projects
• Good understanding of site-based material management processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
