Location: East Sussex
Salary: 40,000 to 46,000

A well-established architectural practice is seeking a Senior Architect to join its team in East Sussex. The studio works across residential, education, and healthcare sectors, with a strong commitment to sustainable design principles. This role will involve close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and contractors, with a particular focus on residential and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities

Take the lead in preparing and delivering technical design packages for cladding remediation and building retrofit schemes
Develop and manage detailed Revit models, drawings, and associated technical documentation
Ensure all design outputs align with the requirements of the Building Safety Act 2022 and relevant regulations
Coordinate technical information with external consultants and specialist subcontractors
Identify potential technical and compliance risks, proposing effective solutions where required
Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, and statutory bodies throughout all project stages

Skills and Experience

Qualified Architect with up-to-date ARB registration
Strong proficiency in Revit
Experience delivering cladding remediation, fa ade improvements, or refurbishment and retrofit projects
Excellent technical expertise, particularly in construction detailing and risk management
Good understanding of Gateway processes and BRPD-related responsibilities
Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex design information
