We're looking for an experienced carpenter to join a busy social housing contractor, carrying out reactive maintenance across East London.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in occupied properties, and delivering high-quality repairs that make a real difference to residents' homes. If you're reliable, take pride in your finish, and can hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing:
Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs in social housing properties
Repairing and replacing doors, frames, locks, skirting, architraves, and kitchen units
Making good after works to ensure a clean, professional finish
Diagnosing issues and completing first-time fixes where possible
Working efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Providing a professional and respectful service in occupied homes
Accurately recording works completed and materials used
What we're looking for:
Proven experience as a Carpenter within reactive maintenance or social housing
Strong all-round carpentry skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
Professional manner and good communication skills
Full UK driving licence
