General Foreman Major Infrastructure Project

Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a well-established civil engineering contractor self-delivering works on one of the UK s largest infrastructure schemes. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of works on a major infrastructure package in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor working on a nationally significant project involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure works.

The General Foreman will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervising gangs and subcontractors across earthworks and groundworks activities
• Managing daily site operations to ensure programme targets are met
• Coordinating plant, labour and materials effectively
• Delivering works in line with specifications, drawings and quality standards
• Conducting toolbox talks, briefings and ensuring workforce engagement
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress to site management
• Driving productivity and resolving on-site issues proactively
• Ensuring strict adherence to health & safety standards, including PPE, site procedures and workforce compliance

• Proven experience working as a General Foreman / Foreman on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in earthworks, groundworks, drainage and infrastructure packages
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• Gold CSCS Card (Supervisor)
• Strong leadership and man-management skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and method statements
• Experience working on major infrastructure or Tier 1 contractor projects beneficial
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
