Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor

Role & Company Overview:

My client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Environmental and Sustainability Advisor to lead and support their environmental initiatives across operational sites. This role is key to embedding sustainability into their operations and culture, ensuring compliance, and helping to minimise their environmental impact.

My client is a is a leading utilities contractor specialising in the water and civil engineering sectors. They deliver complex, sustainable solutions that enhance public infrastructure, improve network resilience, and reduce environmental impact. Their expertise spans infrastructure, non-infrastructure, and maintenance services across the water and wastewater sectors. Due to their integrated capabilities, it enables them to meet diverse client needs across full asset life cycles.

The successful candidate will be based in their office near Brighton, supporting the South East area for their organisation.

Requirements:

• Membership of IEMA
• Proven passion for environmental sustainability and conservation.
• Strong knowledge of Net Zero principles and carbon reduction strategies.
• Practical experience in environmental risk mitigation on construction sites.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage site-based challenges.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data analysis.
• Willingness to travel across London, Southeast (car allowance provided).
