Job Title: Asset Surveyor Type: 12 Month FTC Location: South Wales Salary: £43,839.56 Hours: 37 hours BRC are working closely with a leading organisation in the social housing sector to recruit an experienced Asset Surveyor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a property professional with strong project management, surveying and contract management experience to play a key role in delivering capital investment and improvement programmes. Manage customer, contractor and stakeholder relationships, responding to queries and complaints. Provide technical advice and guidance to internal teams and external partners. Maintain accurate project records and information. Undertake site inspections involving working at height and accessing confined spaces where required. Work safely and in accordance with relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures. Requirements: Experience in asset management, surveying, property, construction or project management, ideally within social housing. Proven experience managing capital investment or improvement projects. Relevant HND/HNC qualification in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Studies or equivalent experience. Experience preparing specifications and obtaining quotes/tenders. Strong knowledge of relevant construction legislation, including CDM, Building Regulations, Party Wall Act and asbestos regulations. SMSTS or equivalent. Strong budget management and understanding of value for money. Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong report writing, analytical and communication skills. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. Strong customer service, influencing and negotiation skills. Major Works Project Manager - Canary Wharf Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday Work from home: Once per week (Friday) Duties & Responsibilities Lead on all stages of project delivery from feasibility, concept and design and manage through to completion and sign-off.
