Key Responsibilities Service, Maintenance & Breakdown Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on domestic gas heating and hot water systems Diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs to maximise first-time fix rates Undertake PPM and safety inspections in line with contract schedules Complete all works to a high standard, ensuring properties are left safe, clean, and compliant Installations & Planned Works Support boiler replacements, cylinder upgrades, and planned maintenance programmes Install, commission, and test appliances in line with Gas Safe and manufacturer requirements Identify and report additional works through the correct procedures Safety & Compliance Work in full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures and risk assessments Ensure all Gas Safe requirements are met, including combustion analysis and tightness testing Complete accurate documentation, certification, and photographic evidence for all works Participate in audits, inspections, and snagging rectification when required Customer Service Deliver a professional and respectful service in occupied homes Clearly communicate with customers regarding works, timescales, and safety requirements Act as a positive representative of the company, promoting excellent customer experience Systems & Reporting Use handheld devices/job management systems to update, manage, and close jobs in real time Utilise remote diagnostic tools where required to improve efficiency and reduce repeat visits Maintain accurate reporting of parts, job status, and compliance records Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Work closely with schedulers, supervisors, and management teams to meet daily KPIs Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback on recurring faults and trends Attend toolbox talks, training, and performance reviews Requirements Proven experience in domestic gas servicing, breakdowns, and fault finding Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service excellence Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Confident using digital job management systems and mobile devices Excellent communication skills and professional attitude in customer homes Essential Qualifications CCN1 Core Domestic Gas Safety CENWAT Boilers & Water Heaters CKR1 Cookers (where applicable) HTR1 Gas Fires & Wall Heaters (where applicable) Desirable G3 / Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification Additional Requirements Full UK driving licence (clean preferred) Willingness to participate in on-call/standby rota (if required) Own and maintain calibrated tools (including flue gas analyser) Flexibility to travel across designated contract areas Commitment to ongoing training and development What s on Offer £40,000 £45,000 basic salary Company van + fuel arrangement (role dependent) Full equipment provided Ongoing training, upskilling, and career progression opportunities Supportive and professional working environment Stable long-term pipeline of domestic service and breakdown work
