Solar Electrician

Our Client

A growing and ambitious electrical contractor specialising in Solar PV installations, EV charger installations, and domestic electrical works is seeking an Electrician to join their expanding team. Established within the last few years, the business has experienced consistent year-on-year growth and is now looking to bring in a motivated individual who shares their drive and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Operating across domestic and commercial projects, the successful Electrician will be working on a variety of installations, particularly within the renewable energy sector, including ongoing solar and EV projects across the Midlands.

Renewables Electrician Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment
- Carry out Solar PV installations on domestic and commercial properties
- Install Electric Vehicle (EV) charge points
- Complete domestic rewires and general electrical installations
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently
- Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects, or required remedial works
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver projects on time
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation

Renewables Electrician Requirements
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and fault finding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working at heights
- Good communication skills when dealing with clients and colleagues
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) (Advantageous)
- 2919 EV Charging Installation qualification (Advantageous)

Renewables Electrician Remuneration
- Salary 38,000 - 47,000
