VGC Group are recruiting for the following position:

Role PTS Welder / Fabricator

Location Sites are Forth Rail Bridge + Tay Rail Bridge. Based out of South Queensferry.

Salary/Rate - £19.48 (Midweek Dayshift), £25.91 (Weekend Dayshift + Midweek Nightshift), £29.22 (Weekend Nightshift). All rates are PAYE, so paid holidays also.

Duration Initially 6 months with possible extension.

Overview: We are looking for an experienced PTS Welder /Fabricator to join a Tier 1 contractor for works on Forth and Tay Rail Bridges. Works will be split between the 2 sites, with approximatly 70% of the work based out of South Queesferry, and the other 30% on the Tay Rail Bridge. Works will also be split between days and nights. With approximatly 70% of the work nightshift and 30% of the work dayshift. For nightshift, working Saturday, Monday - Thursday 23:00 - 07:00. For dayshift working Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:00, Friday 07:30 - 15:00. Weekend dayshift 07:30 - 15:00.

Required Experience: Duties will include fabrication, preperation, burning out and stick welding. Mostly 6mm & 10mm fillet welding for structural and non structural steel. Will also be undertaking steel repairs so should have experience in all of these. Should also be comfortable working at height.

Required Qualifications: PTS, CSCS, SVQ LvL 3 or NHC in Fabrication & Welding
