Key Responsibilities - Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of rail infrastructure projects from delivery through to completion. - Take ownership of the commercial management of the bridge replacement schemes. - Support the close-out and final account settlement of Stage 1 design contracts. - Administer and manage contracts under NEC4 Option C (NEC3 experience will also be considered). - Prepare and manage cost forecasts, valuations, compensation events and cost reporting. - Monitor project expenditure and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle. - Liaise with project teams, design consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to ensure commercial objectives are achieved. - Review, negotiate and agree subcontractor accounts and final accounts. - Provide timely commercial advice and reporting to the wider project team and senior management. Requirements - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within rail, civil engineering or infrastructure projects. - Strong working knowledge of NEC4 Option C contracts (NEC3 experience considered). - Experience managing compensation events, change control and commercial reporting. - Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders effectively. - Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills. - Rail project experience, particularly bridge, structures or heavy civil engineering works, is highly desirable.
