Pay Rate: £14.43 per hour PAYE Lodge and Travel is not available for this role As a Labourer on site, your responsibilities may include: - Assisting trades and site management with general labouring duties - Keeping the site clean, tidy, and safe at all times - Moving materials and equipment around site - Loading and unloading deliveries - Supporting with general site set-up and maintenance - Following all site health and safety procedures - Carrying out any other general site duties as required To be considered for this role, you must have: - A valid CSCS Card - Previous experience working as a labourer on construction sites - A good work ethic and positive attitude - The ability to work well independently and as part of a team - Good punctuality and reliability You must have a valid British passport due to site/client access requirements. Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Duration: 12 months Pay: £(Apply online only) per day Location: Cardiff RESPSONSIBILITIES: Provide accurate and timely commercial reports and advice to the management team Contribute to achieving the appropriate commercial result through the provision of accurate financial reporting Manage subcontractor supplier accounts, financially and contractually Work closely with the site team and provide support on contract requirements Commercial reports and advice to the management team whilst ensuring the contract achieves the appropriate commercial targets Liaise with the subcontractors and monitor against programme Ensure applications for payment and invoices are completed and submitted to ensure payment is made to terms and within work in progress (WIP) and cash targets Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements Monitor internal expenditure against budget Maximise efficiency of reporting techniques/systems Ensure effective relationships are built and maintained by consistently high customer service and on site delivery Operate the systems that are in place to provide the information necessary to manage the contract Ensure all customers and stakeholders have an exceptional customer service and work to achieving Perfect Delivery on all projects Support and coach other team members' commercial and contractual awareness Liaise with the customer, customer representatives and other third parties on commercial issues, including agreement of variations, claims and additional payments Financial closure of projects ensuring all costs and value are allocated in correct systems in accordance with financial timetable REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of construction techniques Experience working on education, leisure, MOJ, healthcare, prison and/or leisure schemes HNC / Degree in commercial management or a similar sector related course, and/or RICS Membership Experience working on 2 stage projects and of managing own projects individually Strong knowledge of company management systems including commercial and financial (Commercial Manager /COINS/Sphere) Proven experience of managing a team of assistant/quantity surveyors on a large contract Enjoy working in an inclusive and hardworking team environment Collating and / or producing site records necessary for interim and final account payments and cost reports Main contracting market experience on schemes between £10 and £70 million is beneficial of working on education, healthcare, prison and leisure schemes between £10 and £70 million
