Working Foreman - Coleshill, Birmingham, B37 6UD

A chance to work on the largest Infrastructure project in the UK, spanning over the next 5-7 years (HS2)

PAYE basis

Pay rate: £26.17 per hour

Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Overtime:
Monday Friday - Time and a third after 10 hours
Nights Time and a third
Sat & Sunday and night all hours Time and a half

Candidates must have:

- CSCS Black or CSCS Gold
- SMSTS
- Experience in civils infrastructure work, ideally with earthworks such as

- Driving licence (preffered)

An Earthworks Foreman you will oversees construction projects involving earth-moving operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Overseeing reshaping and stabilizing the land itself, any fill in operations, slope stabilization and compaction of soil.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Supervision of Crews: The foreman is responsible for managing and supervising the work of construction crews involved in earth-moving activities. This includes delegating tasks and ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

Project Coordination: They coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is on schedule and that resources are allocated effectively. This includes managing the logistics of material delivery and equipment usage.

Safety Management: Ensuring that all safety protocols are followed on-site is a critical responsibility. The foreman must conduct regular safety meetings, enforce safety regulations, and ensure that all crew members are trained in safety practices.

Equipment Management: They are responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of heavy machinery and equipment used in earthworks. This includes ensuring that equipment is in good working condition and that operators are properly trained.

Communication: The foreman acts as a liaison between the crew and upper management, providing updates on project progress, challenges, and any changes that may arise during the project.
