Quantity Surveyor Recladding & Building Safety Remediation - Hybrid Working

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Travel to Site + Healthcare + Pension

This opportunity sits within a well-established business unit operating across London and the South, delivering a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, remediation, retrofit, and building safety projects across both the public and private sectors.
Clients include local authorities and housing associations, with projects spanning residential developments, student accommodation, and large-scale public sector regeneration schemes.
The business is led by a highly experienced senior leadership team with a proven track record of successful project delivery and a strong reputation within the industry.
The Role
Our client is seeking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist division focusing on recladding and external envelope projects. The team also delivers planned improvement programmes and warm homes schemes.
You will be working with local authorities and housing associations, delivering projects typically ranging from £2m to £20m, with recent schemes and bids exceeding £50m.
Projects are delivered under a combination of PCSA arrangements and JCT Design & Build contracts.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement of subcontractors, ensuring consultant and supply packages remain within agreed budget parameters.
Reviewing and analysing tender returns for work packages.
Attending pre-start meetings and preparing detailed order placement recommendations for Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyors.
Administering subcontractor, consultant, and supplier accounts in line with company commercial procedures.
Supporting the management and agreement of subcontractor and supplier final accounts.
Attending design team meetings to ensure contract compliance and minimise unnecessary costs.
Ideally, candidates will have:
A BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
RICS membership or currently working towards chartership.
Strong commercial awareness with experience in a commercial role within the construction industry, ideally on building construction projects.
Good knowledge of JCT forms of contract and Standard Methods of Measurement.
Understanding of Building Regulations.
