The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable construction company. This client is looking for someone to join the team with groundworks experience and engineering knowledge. They are looking for a candidate to join on an ongoing basis as a Sub Agent based in the Hampshire region.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the Site Agent/ Project Manager in the planning, coordination and supervision of site activities
  • Oversee groundworks operations
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation to ensure works are delivered in accordance
  • Support the preparation of method statements, risk assessments and ensure works are carried out safely and in line with company procedures
  • Coordinate site engineers, subcontracts, plant and materials to ensure efficient delivery of works
  • Monitor site progress against programme, identify potential issues and reporting to the Site Agent/ Project Manager
  • Ensure quality control procedures and implemented, including inspections, testing and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site engineers and operatives, ensuring works are carried out to specifications
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily records, site diaries and progress updates
  • Liaise with design teams, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational issues
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Relevant tickets - EUSR 1&2
  • Engineering experience is preferred
  • Proven experience working as a Sub Agent
  • Experience working on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Be capable of planning and coordinating works on site, ensuring activities are delivered in line with programme and quality standards
  • Show excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Have a proactive approach to quality assurance, inspections and technical compliance
