About the Role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with project and site teams to ensure financial control and contractual compliance throughout the build process.

The Quantity Surveyor will be involved in managing project costs, subcontractor procurement and commercial reporting while supporting the successful delivery of high quality construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing project costs from pre-construction through to completion

  • Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and procurement schedules

  • Negotiating and agreeing subcontractor orders and variations

  • Monitoring project budgets and cost performance

  • Preparing valuations and supporting interim applications for payment

  • Managing variations and change control processes

  • Reviewing subcontractor applications and agreeing payments

  • Producing cost reports and financial forecasts

  • Supporting final account preparation and agreement

  • Supporting the commercial team across multiple projects when required

Projects typically include high specification residential builds, heritage restoration works and complex refurbishment schemes where careful cost management and attention to detail are essential.
