Contract: Full Time (7-day rota including out-of-hours and on-call)About the Role

Waltham Forest Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Qualified Plasterer / Skimmer / Renderer to join our Servicestore team. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of plastering, rendering, and skimming works across residential properties, including both occupied homes and void properties.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs, retrofit projects, and mould treatment works, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This role requires someone who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, providing excellent service to residents and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Plastering and Skimming

• Apply plaster to walls and ceilings to create smooth finishes ready for decoration.

• Carry out skimming works as part of void property repairs and general maintenance projects.

Rendering

• Apply external rendering systems using both traditional and modern techniques.

• Deliver high-quality external finishes as part of retrofit works, including solid wall insulation projects.

Repairs and Maintenance

• Complete plastering and rendering repairs within occupied homes.

• Carry out repairs and maintenance works in void properties to ensure readiness for re-letting.

Retrofit Works

• Support energy efficiency retrofit projects such as external solid wall insulation, applying appropriate plastering and rendering finishes.

• Ensure all work complies with TrustMark and PAS2030:2023 standards.

Mould Treatment

• Assist with the treatment of mould using specialist materials and techniques in line with industry best practice.

Teamwork and Customer Service

• Work independently and collaboratively to deliver work efficiently.

• Communicate professionally with residents, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.

Compliance and Documentation

• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

• Complete required documentation including job sheets, risk assessments, and work records.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Proven experience in plastering, skimming, and rendering across a range of projects.

• NVQ Level 2 in Plastering and Rendering (or equivalent).

• Experience working on retrofit projects involving external wall insulation.

• Knowledge of TrustMark and PAS2030:2023 standards.

• Valid CSCS Card.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

• Basic health and safety awareness.

• Ability to work flexibly, including a 7-day rota and out-of-hours on-call rota.

• Commitment to applying Health & Safety, Customer Care, and Communication policies in day-to-day work.
