About the Role
Our client is a well-established construction specialist delivering groundworks, civil engineering, and reinforced concrete frame projects across the UK. They are seeking a highly organised Document Controller to support project teams by ensuring all project documentation is accurately managed, controlled, and distributed.
This role will play an important part in maintaining efficient document control processes across projects, ensuring that site and office teams always have access to the latest information.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the project document control system.
- Receive, log, distribute, and file project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, and reports.
- Ensure the correct revision of drawings and documents is issued to relevant teams and remove outdated versions.
- Maintain document registers, trackers, and filing systems to ensure full traceability.
- Upload and manage documentation on digital document management platforms.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to coordinate document submissions and approvals.
- Support project teams with document retrieval and reporting when required.
- Ensure documentation is managed in line with company procedures and quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience using document management systems such as Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, or similar platforms.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
