Job Purpose Statement You will work closely with the Site Manager / Project Manager and Site Supervisors to deliver on site production and learn how labour, plant and materials are managed throughout the project. You will assist the Site Manager / Project Manager in delivering HSEQ requirements for the project and logistics, monitoring materials, booking in deliveries and carrying out inductions. Key Responsibilities To develop an understanding of construction sequences and methodologies To work with Site Supervisors to understand how labour and plant are put to work and productivity is achieved To assist Site Manager / Project Manager in carrying out their duties including day to day HSEQ paperwork To develop an understanding of HSEQ systems To deliver site inductions To book site deliveries To call off and schedule materials To measure and take off materials and monitor stock To keep accurate site records (photos, diary etc.)

Support site teams with risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Deliver toolbox talks, site briefings, and health & safety inductions. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure high safety standards are maintained. Assist with the development and implementation of project HSEQ initiatives. Produce reports and maintain accurate health & safety records. Build strong relationships with operational teams to promote a positive behavioural safety culture. Support external audits and client inspections as required. Requirements Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within civil engineering or major infrastructure projects. Experience working for a Tier 1 or principal contractor is highly desirable. Knowledge of earthworks, highways, rail, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects would be advantageous. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate (essential). Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH, CertIOSH or working towards). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. General Foreman About the Client : A leading specialist Civil Engineering & Earthworks Contractor operating UK wide within Utilities, Tunnelling, Heavy Civils, infrastructure and Rail with projects ranging from £500k to £50m. Role: Responsible for the day to day planning of works for a set number of gangs, ensuring work is closed correctly and to address queries from the client regarding these jobs Responsibilities: Manage workload to assigned gangs and works area. Check that gangs have taken all photographs as required by the contract. Communicate with the client to ensure that work is correctly prioritised and given to the correct gangs. Check that completed jobs are closed correctly and Highway Authority notified. Ensure jobs do not exceed the allocated time period otherwise fines will be incurred. Proactively manage the workload to each gang using a drip feed policy. Maintain records of all works done using prescribed templates. Become familiar with the noticing requirements of the contract. Undertake additional duties from time to time as directed by your line manager. General (All Staff) Any reasonable duties expected of you. The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Sustainability Lead to join the team on major construction projects based around the Bristol, Bridgwater and Trowbridge area. Reporting into the Sustainability team, you will provide technical sustainability support to project teams, ensuring environmental compliance, driving best practice and helping projects achieve their sustainability and certification objectives. You will work closely with clients, consultants and operational teams to embed sustainability throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Act as the sustainability lead for assigned construction projects. Provide technical advice on environmental compliance and sustainable construction practices. Support the delivery of project sustainability strategies and business ESG objectives. Carry out regular site inspections and environmental audits. Prepare and maintain environmental documentation, including Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and Pollution Incident Response Plans. Experience supporting projects through environmental certification schemes such as BREEAM, LEED or WELL. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental, Sustainability or a related discipline. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable IEMA membership (or working towards). BREEAM Accredited Professional and/or LEED Accredited Professional. ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification. Experience producing environmental management documentation. CSCS Card. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS Advisor to join a market-leading contractor on a major engineering project. The successful candidate will initially be based on-site in North Wales for approximately the first three months, before transitioning to North Acton, London for the remainder of the project. This role is ideally suited to someone who is flexible, enjoys working on major projects and is willing to travel and work across multiple locations as project requirements dictate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence site teams. Full UK Driving Licence. Willingness to travel and work between North Wales and North Acton, London , including an initial three-month rotation in Wales.
