CAD Technician

Location: North Essex
Salary: Circa 35,000 (DOE)

A well-established joinery and manufacturing company is looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end doors, panels, and joinery for both commercial and residential projects.

• Produce and update detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and SWood.
• Prepare assembly and fabrication drawings, including BOMs (Bills of Materials).
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to translate concepts into technical drawings.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision history, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist in prototype development and design modifications.
• Coordinate with production teams to resolve drawing-related issues.

• Practical knowledge of joinery; hands-on experience preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D & 3D; experience with SolidWorks or SWood essential.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Own transport is required due to location.

• Salary circa 35,000 depending on experience.
• Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
