We are currently looking for an experienced Plasterer / Skimmer / Renderer to join a busy and growing maintenance team working across social housing properties in Waltham Forest and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for long-term, stable work carrying out a variety of plastering and rendering works across occupied and void properties.
The RoleAs a Plasterer / Renderer, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality plastering, skimming and rendering works across a range of residential properties.
You will work on responsive repairs, void refurbishments, retrofit programmes and damp & mould treatment works, ensuring homes are safe, well maintained and ready for residents.
The role will involve both independent working and collaborating with other trades to deliver an excellent service to residents.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarrying out plastering and skimming works to walls and ceilings to achieve a high-quality finish ready for decoration
Completing repairs and maintenance plastering within both occupied and void social housing properties
Applying external render systems, including traditional and modern finishes
Supporting retrofit programmes, including external wall insulation (EWI) and solid wall insulation projects
Assisting with damp and mould treatment works using specialist materials and methods
Carrying out void property repairs to prepare homes for new tenants
Working closely with tenants while delivering excellent customer service in occupied homes
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
Completing job sheets, risk assessments and documentation using company systems
Proven experience as a Plasterer / Renderer / Skimmer
Experience working within social housing, repairs or maintenance environments (preferred)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality finishes
Experience with external wall insulation (EWI) or retrofit projects is desirable
Good problem-solving skills and communication when working with tenants and colleagues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
NVQ Level 2 in Plastering and Rendering (or equivalent)
NVQ Level 3 External or Internal Wall Insulation (desirable)
Experience working on PAS2030 / TrustMark retrofit projects (desirable)
Valid CSCS Card
Full UK Driving Licence
