Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Commercial Construction

The Opportunity:
Our client, a leading main contractor specialising in commercial construction projects, is seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced QS to take ownership of project costs and play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial builds.
What You ll Be Doing:

Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for commercial projects

Monitoring and controlling project expenditure, identifying cost efficiencies

Managing contracts, procurement, and subcontractor agreements

Conducting valuations, measurements, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle

Providing commercial guidance to project teams and clients

Performing post-project cost reviews and preparing final accounts
What We re Looking For:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment, ideally in commercial construction

Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost control processes

Proficiency with cost management software (e.g., CostX) and Excel
-
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
-
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
-
RICS membership or working toward it is desirable
