Carpenter

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials.

• Install structures such as doors, windows, frameworks, floors, and staircases.

• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

• Repair or replace damaged wooden structures.

• Work with other trades and site supervisors to complete tasks on time.

• Maintain a clean and safe working area.

Skills & Requirements

• Basic carpentry skills and knowledge of construction methods.

• Ability to read simple plans and measurements.

• Experience using carpentry tools and equipment.

• Good attention to detail.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent).

• CSCS card for working on construction sites.
