Job Title: Painter / Decorator X4 Reports To: Site Manager / Supervisor Main Duties Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, filling and priming. Apply emulsion, gloss, primer and other specified coatings to walls, ceilings, doors, frames and other surfaces. Carry out cutting-in, rolling and brush application to a good standard. Protect floors, windows, fixtures and completed work from paint splashes and damage. Mix and prepare paints and materials in accordance with manufacturer instructions. Complete snagging, touch-ups and remedial painting as required. Keep work areas clean, tidy and free from hazards. Work safely from ladders, towers or other approved access equipment where required. Follow drawings, specifications and instructions from the Site Manager/Supervisor. Coordinate with other trades to avoid delays and damage to completed work. Health & Safety Wear all required PPE, including safety boots, hi-vis clothing, hard hat and eye protection where required. Follow site health and safety rules at all times. Use tools, ladders, access equipment and chemicals safely. Report hazards, accidents, damaged equipment or unsafe conditions immediately. Maintain good housekeeping throughout the working day. Required Skills & Experience Previous experience as a painter/decorator on construction sites. Good knowledge of surface preparation and paint application. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good attention to detail and ability to produce a high-quality finish. Reliable, punctual and physically fit for construction-site work. Relevant construction/site safety qualifications where required.
