Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for an
Interim Trees Officer to support the management, protection, and conservation of trees. The successful candidate will provide specialist arboricultural advice and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies relating to trees and hedgerows.
This is a
part-time position (22.2 hours per week), although the client may consider
2-4 days per week depending on availability.
Key Responsibilities - Provide professional advice on tree management and arboricultural matters.
- Assess and manage applications relating to Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs).
- Assist with the making, confirming, and reviewing of Tree Preservation Orders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policy related to trees, hedgerows, and conservation areas.
- Carry out site visits and tree inspections where required.
- Provide technical advice to planners, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Support the protection and enhancement of trees across the National Park.
