Contract Manager - Rail

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Contract Manager to support the delivery of major civil engineering rail projects across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile rail infrastructure schemes within a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer contracts across civil rail projects in line with NEC (NEC3/NEC4) conditions
• Oversee commercial performance, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting
• Lead change management processes, including compensation events and variations
• Support procurement, subcontract management, and final account agreements
• Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and site teams to mitigate risk

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager within civil engineering and rail infrastructur

• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential

• Experience on Network Rail or major rail frameworks preferred

Rate is upto £450 per day, long term work.
