Civils General Foreman

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Civils General Foreman on behalf of a thriving civil engineering main contractor to work on a sizeable project in the Immingham area.

This growing contractor are building their reputation across the North of England and are very established in other areas of the country. They are an industry specialist for large scale civil engineering works on Ports & Marinas UK-wide, alongside work spanning Highways, Infrastructure, Rail etc. A sizeable main contractor with an impressive forward workload & wide horizons for the right people.

Initial project is a civil engineering / infrastructure package to improve the industrial port. Valued at around 20m it includes bulk earthworks, concrete structures, groundworks, access roads, s278 and construction of car parks & large crane beam bases. This project represents 18 months of work with further opportunity of regional work from ongoing tenders.

Duties/Responsibilities as General Foreman:

• Assisting Site Manager in delivery of works on site
• Supervising day-to-day site activities from sub-contractors
• Daily briefings on site
• Toolbox talks
• Coordinating sub-contractor gangs & direct labour
• Checking & assisting with ordering materials
• Monitoring & enforcing Health and Safety on site
• Plant checks
• Permits

Experience required as General Foreman:

• Must have experience as General Foreman / Site Supervisor on civil engineering schemes
• Ideally have experience supervising & delivering: heavy civils, drainage, concrete works, road construction, ducting etc.
• Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and full driving license

Remuneration:

A salary of up to 52,000 (dependant upon experience) plus:

Company car / van or allowance, fuel, increased annual leave, healthcare, pension scheme and other benefits
