Off the back of a successful AMP7, the company has secured a lot of work on the AMP8 framework with Yorkshire Water running to 2030 at least. A 200m+ turnover contractor with a forward thinking regional team undergoing significant growth. Spending time working from their office, from site and from home - the role will require travel across Yorkshire as needed. Wide range of projects covering: deep drainage, shaft sinking, re-enforced concrete, large storm tanks, rising mains, pipework, pumping stations etc. Projects from 500k to 5m in value typically. All run as main contractor. Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman on behalf of a thriving civil engineering main contractor to work on projects across Central Yorkshire with an initial 18 month site in Barnsley This large main contractor have been established over 50 years and have developed a strong name in Yorkshire having undergone significant regional growth in recent years. They now need a General Foreman to join their team to help run sites at all stages. The General Foreman will be responsible for managing daily site works alongside a Site Agent and Site Engineer. Projects: highways, s278 works, deep drainage, public realm / streetworks, flood defence, bridges / structures etc. General Civil Engineering works. Projects 5m- 15m. All work is regional and most of the work is around the A1/M1 and M62 corridors in Yorkshire. They aim to keep staff within 1 hour of home where possible.
